Peanuts contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats that keep the heart healthy. A good level, of both; monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats results in lowering blood cholesterol levels, and thereby reducing the risk of coronary heart diseases.
Nuts can be stored in or out of the shell. They’ll last longer if you store them in the shell, but they’ll be easier to grab and use if you shell them first. So, it’s a matter of personal preference. Either way, it’s important to store your nuts in an air-tight container, so they maintain the proper moisture level.
