Wheatgrass Tray, Small
- 4 Shot Tray
Wheatgrass is grown from wheat seeds, contains high amounts of chlorophyll and is thought to have a wide variety of health promoting properties. Most people juice it, but it is also available in supplement form!
Harvested or cut wheatgrass placed in a container will last about seven or eight days in a common refrigerator. Do not let harvested wheatgrass freeze and do not eat or juice wheatgrass if it has begun or has turned yellow.
It’s best to drink a fresh wheatgrass juice shot. It’s a pretty easy process. Rinse the wheat grass (and any other fruits or vegetables you are using) very well, making sure you get rid of any soil or other debris that might be on your wheat grass, fruits and vegetables. Put your wheat grass on a cutting board, and give the blades a rough chop. The smaller your wheat grass pieces are, the easier it will be to grind them or blend them to get the juice. You’ll want enough wheat grass to fill at least ½ cup. You can work with more or less than that, but ½ cup should be enough for about two servings of wheatgrass juice.
