Catch up with Mooneh

Dima Al Sharif, a Dubai-based food artisan and author of the multi-award-winning cookbook “Plated Heirlooms,” owner of the “Dima Sharif” brand, and Founder & CEO of Mooneh LLC, spoke with us. Mooneh has been a market mainstay since 2018. It’s time to learn more about them.

MOONEH LLC is a Dubai-based company that specializes in the production of high quality, gourmet food consumables sourced and made in the UAE. They pride themselves in being a socially conscious for profit business, first established to support the local organic farmers, by purchasing their produce and using it to create healthy, organic food products for the UAE Market. Last year, Dima and her partner Firas lent their support to a number of regional farmers and craftsmen, purchasing directly from them the products that cannot be cultivated in the UAE. They also help small local companies and producers that have the same values as they do.

They are concerned about their customers’ and the environment’s health, and they use sustainable procedures wherever feasible, following to organic standards and never utilizing any chemical additions or preservatives. They can accommodate a wide range of health and nutrition needs, from low-sodium to vegan and gluten-free, as well as lifestyle choices like keto, sugar-free, and more! Always ensuring that the quality of their product is exceptional and that the flavors are unforgettable.

Dima was really motivated to establish Mooneh by a few factors. First and foremost, she wanted to promote local organic farming and farmers who choose to cultivate organically. Second, she wanted to urge all of us to reconsider what we eat and choose better, healthier, and higher-quality foods, ensuring that a wide range of such goods and ingredients is available. Finally, she wanted to share her passion for and aptitude for creating unforgettable flavors and superb meals with the UAE market. She thinks that excellent food does not have to be imported; it can be found right here, and MOONEH products are testament of that.

Dima, a long-time vendor, and a Ripe Market favorite, advises aspiring makers and merchants to “follow your passion,” since “anything that comes from the heart is always extraordinary.”

‘Believe in your talent and your concept even if you face challenges when you first start (we all do). Be true to your vision, don’t copy other people’s visions because that won’t take you far. When you create a concept that you believe in, that is in your DNA, that is who you are, then people will see it too and will always choose you over any other similar brand. Remember every concept has an audience, so focus on being honest in your communication because your audience are smart too. Most importantly add value, everywhere you go, add value.’
